Ingredients

1 1/2 ozBrandy
3/4 ozLemon juice
1/2 ozSimple syrup (2:1)
0.5Egg white
3 dashAngostura bitters

Instructions

  1. Chill an old-fashioned glass.
  2. Add all ingredients to a shaker.
  3. Dry shake (without ice) to start emulsifying (about 10-15 seconds).
  4. Add ice and shake until well chilled (about 10-15 seconds).
  5. Strain back into the shaker.
  6. Fine strain into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass.
  7. Express the oils from a lemon twist over the drink.
  8. Garnish with a lemon twist and a maraschino cherry.
