  1. Chill a highball glass.
  2. Add all ingredients except the root beer to a shaker.
  3. Add ice and shake until well chilled (about 10–15 seconds).
  4. Strain over fresh ice into the chilled glass.
  5. Top with root beer and stir gently.
  6. Garnish with a lemon peel twist.
