Ingredients

2 ozBourbon whiskey
1 pieceStrawberries
3/4 ozLemon juice
1/4 ozSimple syrup (2:1)
2 dashAngostura bitters
to topGinger beer

Instructions

  1. Chill a collins glass.
  2. Add strawberries to a shaker and muddle gently.
  3. Add all ingredients except the ginger beer to the shaker.
  4. Add ice and shake until well chilled (about 10–15 seconds).
  5. Double strain over fresh ice into the chilled glass.
  6. Top with ginger beer and stir gently.
  7. Garnish with a lemon slice and a strawberry slice.
