  1. Chill a collins glass.
  2. Add all ingredients except the ginger beer and dark rum to a shaker.
  3. Add ice and shake until well chilled (about 10–15 seconds).
  4. Strain over fresh ice into the chilled glass.
  5. Top with ginger beer and stir gently.
  6. Float dark rum on top.
  7. Garnish with a lime wedge and an orchid.
