  1. Chill an old-fashioned glass.
  2. In a shallow small pan, heat the banana with orange juice, simple syrup (2:1) and cinnamon until the banana softens and the orange juice reduces.
  3. Add cognac and flambé further.
  4. Muddle the banana in the base of shaker.
  5. Add the remaining ingredients to a shaker.
  6. Add ice and shake until well chilled (about 10–15 seconds).
  7. Strain into the chilled glass.
  8. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
