About the Fernandito cocktail
The Fernandito is a simple but iconic highball made with Fernet and Coca-Cola. It is sweet, bitter, fizzy, and intensely herbal, with cola up front and a minty, medicinal Fernet backbone underneath. Although Fernet comes from Italy, the Fernandito is deeply associated with Argentina, where Fernet became wildly popular after arriving with European immigrants in the late 19th century.
