About the Charente Collins cocktail
The Charente Collins is a refreshing summer highball made with Grand Marnier, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and mint. There is no traditional base spirit; Grand Marnier, an orange liqueur blended with cognac, plays that role, giving the drink a darker, richer orange note against elderflower, citrus, and mint.
Served in a Collins glass with a mint garnish, it sits in the same family as a Mojito, Southside, or Mint Julep: mint, citrus, and sweetness in a cold, easy-drinking glass. It is an unexpected Collins, but a natural one for hot weather.
